LUNCH

Serve any leftover meats, fish or vegetables wrapped in fry bread. Fresh or dried berries depending on the season.

Easy Fry Bread

     3 cups flour
     1 tsp. salt
     3 heaping tsps. baking powder
     1 heaping tsp. shortening
     1 pt. lukewarm water
     Oil for frying

Sift dry ingredients together, cut in shortening like making pie crust. Make a hollow in the center and add water to make a dough the consistency of biscuit dough.  Gather into a ball and set aside for about 20 minutes.  Heat oil. Break off small pieces and form into circles.  Make a hole in the center of each circle and fry it in the hot fat.
